The Accounting Manager, under general supervision and reporting to the APAC Finance
Director and Worldwide Controller, is responsible for the APAC region business
services accounting function. This includes the management of the accounts
payable, client billing and treasury functions.
The Accounting Manager is the
principal business advisor to local management and provides financial reporting
and analysis to local business leaders, and serves as liaison with the corporate
finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the local Business Services team for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal monthly financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis. Drive monthly and annual closing processes.
- Oversee the activities of the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing and recording of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports and operating cash control.
- Supervise and review the work performed by accounting staff/subordinates, including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, expenses, GL, etc.
- Oversee client billing process including cost estimates, quotations and invoices.
- Work with global Business Services team to maintain appropriate processes and internal controls to ensure the integrity of the reported results.
- Comply with corporate policies and procedures and respond to the WFC & CFO with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs.
- Liaise with auditors to manage annual statutory audit and tax requirements.
- Ensures compliance with VAT, GST and other indirect taxes for the APAC Region
- Day-to-day management of a team of 4-5, including mentoring and developing the accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus.
- 5-plus year’s experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities; service industry experience desired.
- Strong technical accounting background and knowledge of GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office. Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus.
