New Business Director
Role overview:
A senior and strategic appointment to drive reputation and recognition of the Weber Shandwick proposition into the market place. A key contribution will be helping drive dynamic revenue growth and holding responsibility for overall UK new business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead on planning and implementing a new client engagement strategy reflecting the firm’s business goals
- Driving new lead generation/new business networking, focusing on senior communications brand and marketing executives primarily in London but also across the Weber Shandwick UK network
- Overseeing the co-ordination of inbound new business opportunities and working with EMEA new business team where relevant
- Taking a hands-on pitch management role, where needed, for major new business opportunities (proactive and in-bound)
- Delivering required business management and ongoing tasks including reporting and pipeline reports
- Collaborating with UK practice MDs to drive new business development activity
- Working with the marketing team to effectively leverage marketing assets (hospitality/events) to ensure strong business building relationship management with strategic prospects
- Ensuring strong and productive new business development relationships with other agencies within the Group
- Maintaining relationships across the relevant stakeholders e.g. agency intermediaries
