This position is an integral part of our team and provides business development/marketing/I&A support for a variety of projects. The focus of this internship is to execute the basics of supporting our business development, marketing and I&A teams, which includes research, writing, media relations, coverage tracking, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Increase awareness and understanding for team and region by reading coverage daily about clients, prospective clients, competitors and industry.
- Track and analyze coverage resulting from marketing efforts and create coverage reports.
- Research editorial calendars and recommend appropriate opportunities to target.
- Identify appropriate speaking venues for regional leaders and supply relevant information.
- Identify appropriate awards opportunities for region and track results.
- Meet WE guidelines on best business practices including utilization, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports, etc.
- Add information to WE database based on coverage, contact with and research about influentials.
- Help with new business opportunities.
- Understand and utilize internal client service teams (editing, production, library, etc.) to ensure quality, comprehensive service to clients.
- Help research and analyze information for our Insights & Analytics team.
- Utilize resources such as our relationship database, library services, publications, websites, etc. to support research.
- Bachelors degree or above preferred in communications, journalism, marketing, English or related field
- 0-1 years of professional experience
- Proficiency in using computer and standard office applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook
- Worked in a team environment
- Worked under deadline pressure
- Developed written materials that are organized, professional and concise
- Understands the role of the media
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
