The Core Tech team is looking for an Account Coordinator who is eager to learn and passionate about consumer tech. This role offers the opportunity to have a substantial role on an anchor account in the consumer tech space with room to grow. This position requires a candidate that is quick on his/her feet, detail-oriented, and has a strong sense of curiosity and creativity. We need someone who can be the eyes and ears for the account – spot the trends around the bend, voraciously consume industry news, and provide a millennial-generation perspective. The winds can shift swiftly on a major account, so the ideal candidate is someone who can be flexible and roll with the punches with ease. Strong social media skills are a bonus.
Responsibilities:

- Research and monitor influencers, industry news, competitive landscapes, and trends to share and communicate back to teams and clients
- Create & update media lists using tools like Cision, social media and search engines to maintain up-to-date information
- Support reactive and proactive media outreach to fulfill requests, schedule interviews and pitch story ideas
- Assist in creation of media outreach materials including fact sheets, backgrounders, pitch emails, social media content, etc.
- Coordinate production of client materials including briefing books, coverage clip reports and status reports
- Increase knowledge of social & digital trends and technologies
- Assist with logistics for client events, projects and announcements
- Build understanding of client business and begin developing point of view
- Manage and hone basic business skills, e.g. managing a high volume of email, escalating issues early, time management, etc.

Qualifications:
Preferred experience:
- Passion for technology!
- 0-1 year of professional experience, previous internships in PR, preferably in an agency
- Proficiency in computers & standard office applications (Microsoft Office is a must)
- Comfortable with integrated communication principles
- Understanding of the role media plays and how PR provides value
- High level of initiative, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong organizational skills & ability to multi-task, work in a team environment and meet deadlines
- Strong research skills
- Excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, journalism or related field preferred
