Overview:
When you work at Waggener Edstrom, you will find compelling work, global partnerships, worthwhile professional development, outstanding benefits and the opportunity to make a difference. We value those who share our passion and belief in the power of change, discovery and innovation. We invest in our future by creating a fun workplace full of creative, skilled, curious and enthusiastic people. If that sounds like you, we want you here.
Waggener Edstrom Communications, one of the world’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, is seeking an Account Executive to join our SWAT team. SWAT is a unique team designed to offer immediate strategic support on a variety of projects and across the agency for a defined period of time, such as events, product launches, large news cycles and breaking crisis, as well as training and leadership, and to also ensure seamless transitions and coverage for long term leaves (for example sabbatical and maternity leave coverage). Members of the SWAT team are exposed to a wide variety of communications experiences and audiences which ensure extensive growth and learning opportunities. It is also an opportunity to learn how to work in a virtual team environment and broaden your knowledge and develop a more left to right view of the company. Members of this team should expect a lot of diversity during their time on the SWAT team and to build relationships across the agency that will set them up for success in future roles. You’ll get to impress clients (both internal and external) with your integrated marketing ideas; recommend social media approaches; and capitalize on your ability to negotiate and establish business priorities. We are looking for candidates who can provide day-to-day support, tackle new challenges, deliver client delight and keep the trains running on time. There is room to dream and evolve…demonstrated creativity, flexibility and the ability to see what’s next are essential! A successful SWAT team member needs to be a self-starter and enjoy periods of fast-paced, deadline driven communications. Individuals also need to be comfortable working across multiple competing priorities. Social media expertise, a proven knowledge of consumer communications and/or integrated marketing experience are looked upon very favorably. A sense of humor, the ability to embrace and thrive in constant change, genuine interest in technology and a passion for learning are must-haves. It doesn’t hurt if the candidate likes chocolate and wine either.
